お線香の歴史は古く、その起源は紀元前3000年頃のメソポタミア文明まで遡ると言われています。日本では、仏教の伝来と共に、お香文化が発展し、お線香は仏事や神事、そして日常の香りとして親しまれてきました。江戸時代には、庶民にも普及し、現在のような棒状の線香が一般的になりました。
これらは鋳鉄でつくられたお線香用の香立です。様々なデザインの香立は様々なサイズのお線香をセットできます。瞑想の時間にピッタリの香立です。
Incense sticks have a long history, and their origins are said to date back to the Mesopotamian civilization around 3000 BC. In Japan, incense culture developed with the introduction of Buddhism, and incense sticks have been familiar as a scent for Buddhist and Shinto ceremonies, as well as in everyday life. In the Edo period, incense became popular among the common people, and the rod-shaped incense sticks we see today became common.
